But we solder on regardless. Last night was a good example of an exciting movie premiere that had buckets of star potential. Lets face it, a James Bond opening night has all the ingredients of a celeb-o-rama... When all we really got was a couple o' lads from RTE in monkey suits. Yawn.

Although, our gossip hounds were out in force. We spotted the lady mooted as the new love interest of radio motor-mouth Gerry Ryan as she tried sneaking past our snappers. No such luck. The red-tops have been name dropping Melanie Verwoerd as the TV & Radio presenter's new loooover. Well, he was there last night. She was there last night. Job done. They're an item... What more evidence do we need?

And speaking of potential new lovers, single man Ryan Tubridy posed on the Bond red carpet with model Laura Toogood as rumours circled the room that these two are more than just good friends... We know what you're thinking folks - could this relationship be too-good to be true? See what we did there? Genius.

Okay, so there were no real big international names at the screening apart from Boyzone's Keith Duffy and U2's manager Paul McGuinness. Not exactly Daniel Craig and Olga Kurylenko but hey, wotcha-gonna-do?

But Irish terms, we suppose household names like Gerry Ryan, Ryan Tubridy, Grainne & Sile Seoige, Senator David Norris, and Apprentice stars Jackie Lavin, Bill Cullen & Jennifer Maguire aint too bad... So keep the cheeky comments to a minimum you shower of ingrates.

As for the verdict on the movie? Well, we have no idea folks as we weren't sent an invite. We hear the plot's kinda confusing but there are lots of explosions and shots of Daniel Craig with his top off and stuff. It's James Bond, it does what it says on the tin.
