Walliams Muses in Dublin...

Comedian and English Channel swimmer David Walliams sure has an old head on young shoulders - not only is hanging out in Dublin with a few old geezers, he's only just heard of this new fandangle fad called "rock music"...

As David Walliams left the rehearsals yesterday for his forthcoming theatrical debut in 'No Man's Land,' with co stars Michael Gambon (Harry Potter), David Bradley (Harry Potter) and Nick Dunning (The Tudors), he stopped to chat with young lad called Caleb on his way to the 'Muse' concert in Dublin.

Whilst signing the wee lad's autograph book Walliams inquired about the band that he was heading off too see... David then joked: "Muse? I suppose they are one of these rock bands I keep hearing about?"

Walliams asked the young autograph hunters that had gathered if they were fans of the Harry Potter films... Before they could answer he said: "would you like to meet Dumbledore?" And then quickly introduced Prof Dumbledore himself in the guise of Michael Gambon...

Walliams, Gambon and David Bradley spent about five minutes chatting with their young fans with one eye on the pouring rain which greeted them as they left their rehearsal hall.

We couldn't quite tell if they were happy to get some much needed fan attention after their eight hours of intense rehearsals or simply just looking for an excuse to avoid the rain that was coming down in buckets...

But with no sign of the weather letting up, Walliams and his thespian friends braved the wet Dublin streets and even got a light splash from a Paddywagon Bus as it passed them on O'Connell Street.
