Eddie Irvine: we deliver the real facts...

Last week, it was time to uncover the superhoofer Flatley's secrets. This week it was Eddie (Irv the Swerve) Irvine's turn. Seems that Eddie was sick and jetting between clinical tests in London and Formula One tests in Milan. His best friend has been confiding with ShowBizIreland.com in Eddie's place.

Eddie only got out of hospital on Thursday week and was back in again on Monday morning for more tests which he has been getting for internal bleeding which caused the driver to pull out of the Austrian Grand Prix.

He was perplexed on Monday after a motor-racing interview which was taken out of context in one of the tabloids and focused on his personal life. So, as always it been left up to ShowBizIreland.com to clear some facts up.

  • Firstly, he finished with his ex-girlfriend Anouk and she did not dump him. Also, for the record, Anouk visited him in hospital last week and the two are still great friends.
  • Secondly, he has bought a house in Oxford in England for £1m but it will take another £2m to renovate and he has scrapped his plans to knock down his house in Dalkey and rebuild a bigger one.
  • Thirdly, his big party which was supposed to happen in Cocoon Bar this weekend has been put on hold due to his illness and will be rescheduled for later in the summer. But, when it does go ahead guests will include Simply Red singer Mick Hucknall and JK from Jameriqui and Eddie will get his private jet to pick up guests in London, Paris and Milan for the party.
  • Fourthly, Eddie will be hosting another party in November. But, that will be a private party to celebrate his 35th birthday.
