Here at ShowBiz Ireland, we had high hopes for the pop career of Samantha Mumba. That was until she failed to deliver a second album, tried a spot of acting, sought publicity with dubious relationships with US rappers, went the UK reality TV route, and starting hanging out with the likes of Jade Goody... No, really. Was she purposely trying to ruin any hopes of a comeback?

She now lives in the LA baby, doing what? We have no idea... Drumcondra obviously wasn’t Hollywood enough... Although, her name pops-up in the Irish press every-now-and-again with the usual hype of a come-back album. Yawn. Change the record Sam. Just make the feckin’ CD and get it out there...

We caught up with a very dressed-down Samantha Mumba grocery shopping at the weekend with her mother Barbara. Wearing Ugg boots, torn jeans and a white vest - Sam filled her shopping bags with booze, magazines and toiletries at the discount store... What! No Cristal??
