Ronan launches Mobile Cancer Units...

On Friday night after three years of fundraisers, press calls and waiting Ronan Keating finally reached the ambition closest to his hart. The launch of three mobile cancer awareness units in memory of his mother who died of the disease three years ago.

The units where launched throughout on Friday in Cork, Galway and Dublin by Ronan with the help of members of his family.

Speaking to ShowBizIreland.com about completing the dream in his late mother's memory Ronan explained how the day had brought back a lot of sad memories for himself and his family.. "Basically today after three years of raising money for the Marie Keating Foundation we put the three mobile units on the road. Which was our goal three years ago. It took a long time but we wanted to make it right and finally we are here, it's an amazing feeling. It’s an amazing sense of achievement. It’s a very emotional day. We are reliving memories from three years ago when we lost our mother. It’s been a tough day. We started in Cork this morning to launch the first unit then Galway and now Dublin tonight and it’s been a mad day. But there is a sense of fulfilment."
