The
10th annual Mitchelstown Guinness Music Festival takes place
this August Bank-Holiday weekend (1st - 4th August) at Mitchelstown,
Co. Cork and pop diva Dannii Minogue is confirmed as the headline
act.
Dannii
is thrilled to be headlining the festival this year and
said: ‘I am really looking forward to playing in Cork. I
have heard that there’s a great party atmosphere there so
I am really excited to being part of the Mitchelstown festival.’
Other
acts performing in Mitchelstown over the bank-holiday weekend
include The ReVs, the Proclaimers, Bablefish, Mankind, Dolores
Keane, Eleanor McEvoy, Sarah Jane Hudson, Fifth Avenue and
Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club among others.
Over
the years the Mitchelstown Guinness Music Festival stage
has been lit up by top Irish & International acts, including
SIX, Samantha Mumba, Boyzone, David Kitt and Brian Kennedy.
This year, over 40,000 people are expected to attend the
outdoor event which takes place in Mitchelstown’s Town Square.
Entry to all performances is free except for Sunday 3rd
August’s afternoon concert featuring Dannii Minogue, Fifth
Avenue, Mankind and Broken Hill, and hosted by 2FM’s Ruth
Scott & Rick O’Shea. Tickets cost €15.00.
Tickets are available for Sunday’s concert from Saturday
14th June from Ticketmaster on 1890 925100, Ticketmaster
or at usual outlets nationwide. Alternatively tickets can
be purchased at selected outlets in Mitchelstown.
